A smoky, layered riff on the Manhattan with bourbon as the base. Cardamaro adds gentle bitterness, Benedictine brings herbal sweetness, and a touch of peated whisky infuses campfire smoke. Chocolate bitters ground it all with a dark, mellow finish. Sophisticated and a little dangerous—like a velvet smoking jacket in a glass.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ½ oz (45 ml) bourbon whiskey
- ½ oz (15 ml) light vermouth amaro, Cardamaro
- ½ oz (15 ml) Benedictine
- 1 tsp (5 ml) peated single malt whisky
- 2 dashes of STB chocolate bitters
METHOD
- In a mixing glass, combine the ingredients
- Stir until chilled
- Strain into a chilled Nick & Nora glass
- Garnish with an orange twist
